Very emotional and witty!

Trying to be brave, saying her goodbyes
Forcing back the little drops of pain
That seem to be flowing from her eyes
Falling as rapidly as a downpour of rain..

my favorite part of this poem, this is really amazing and im clueless of what to say!

How sad---in especial the words "the other half of her soul" that was sad, to think that she had lost her soul mate.
Was this inspired by James Blunt? the story is very similar to one of his songs, in that it shares the same title, and JB went to war for a while (but he didn't die) anyway, he could have been the inspiration.
It had a refreshingly strong rhyme all the way through, I enjoyed that.

This was, like Michael D Nalley said, "oustandingly moving". Very sad, indeed. I love the descriptions "Forcing back the little drops of pain" I could feel the pain of heartache in my throat. Very nicely done.
