Stranger

~Stranger~
You are a stranger to my eyes
You missed my first school dance,
My first real kiss
You were not there to comfort me,
When I broke my wrist.
When my doggy went to heaven you were not there to see me cry.
You missed everything in my life
You are a stranger to my eyes.
How can I forgive you when you constantly lie?
You are my father,
Why do you make me cry?
You left me when I was ten and you never said good bye
I will never forgive you when you took that young girl as your bride.
Now it is too late to
say you are sorry
I am done and I am through with all of your lying.
I am now in college
And my life will go on
I am sorry to say,
You are a stranger to my eyes.

It's sad, but i know how you feel. I'm going through almost the same thing. My father never made the effort. I'm seeing him tomorrow for the first time in 3 years. It's a bit daunting. This poem shows me that i can move on like you did. Great job. =]

That's sad... But it's good that you're dealing with it well. Great poem. =)

    Sad.
    some fathers are pricks.
chin up and glad to see you can move on.
