Outlines and Paintings

by Misstress   Oct 23, 2006

A sketch of light
draws me a captive.
Trapping my senses,
Brewing words
a flavor of awe,
mixed in my mouth.
As my mind compete
with a frozen smile,
a kaleidoscope world,
sparkling tiny slices
of magic,
on the fields
of my empty paper.

I love the images in this-very vivid. And I like the indirect reference to the creative process. This goes deeper than it first appears.

Very, very, creative. You have painted the perfect pictrure here. How you do it, I am still trying to figure it out. It's poets like you that make me want to strive to become one of the best. But I know that I have a long way to go. Keep up the great work! I know that you are an inspiration to a lot of people. 5/5

That's just amazing. You use of words & how you put them together is wonderful. The short lines make this poem more appealing, & your descriptions make it interesting. I love everything about it. Especially the ending, using kaleidoscope as a description helped me imagine what you were writing alot. Another great write. Keep it up. =] 5/5 Definately.
