Believe in her

by libby   Nov 16, 2006

Today's
Virgin Mary
swallows a pill every night
to keep her clean.
She soothes her fears with skin, screaming
Believe in me! Believe in me!
Believe
in
me!
She orders up acceptance
from drive-thru churches
served steaming and saturated with hypocrisy
but it never leaves her satisfied.
Is it any wonder she turns so readily
to something that makes her feel so loved?

    I LOVE your poems.
You were in my favorites from the very first poem I read of yours.
    You are very pretty. :)

I might just write a poem on your display picture. Heh.
