Moonlight Swans

by Daenerys Stormborn   Dec 11, 2006

Swans in the moonlight
Circling the rivulet, so cold
Illuminating feathers white
Shimmering and bold
Arched necks, curved grace
Dancers upon the water's frame
Refinement in the quiet face
Alike, but never the same
A ritual to gentle livid eyes
A mating waltz for two
Elegance uncompromised
Polished beauty deeply true
Blossoms of pure esteem
Statuesque they unite
A heart formed in the stream
Then suddenly take flight
