As New As Old

by Constantinesgirl   Jan 15, 2007

He was new
And looking for something to do
He tried a coffee shop
And all time there did stop

She had always been there
And no one seemed to hear
The distress that existed in her voice
She had no more time to rejoice

They both passed by
A moment passed by
A moment lost
In a time unjust

He became just as old as she
She longed to be as new as he
And in that moment they could see
That it could possibly be

All it took was for him to say hi
And the moment no longer passed them by
There was no more distress in her voice
And they both could rejoice
