My Sunlight

by Austin   Mar 25, 2007

When i saw you
that very first time
i knew that i loved you
but i wasn't that fine.

I was so full of darkness
Their was no light
but..you were my brightness
and you shone oh so bright

So i was unblinded
my hope set free
i was happy indeed
and everyone could see

I wanted to be your pillar
Your pillar of strength
i would protect you
like a yojimbo for his king

And, i loved you so
you needed no fear
just look in my eyes
id tell you no lies

You were like the sea the lighting and the thunder
you possessed a thousand charms
but the one that filled me with wonder
was the embrace of your arms

Green grass is cool and refreshing,
how swift the small birds they fly,
but the great thrill of what I'm confessing.
Is the love light that shine in your eye.

Then it was all over
a knife shoved in my heart
it was dispersed all over
and i couldn't help but not be alright

I wanted it to be a dream
were i could wake
but when morning came
i was still in pain

But it was alright
we were still friends
so the sunlight
still shone bright

So i sit here today
just happy and fine
knowing I'm not blinded
my sun would still shine

So my sunshine shone bright
and it was alright
i was darkened no more
no more deception or fright
