Ice Cold Burning Heat

My heart burns like fire
Every time i think of you

You changed my life
But not like i imagined you would,
When i stared into your eyes for the first time

My heart let you in too easy
And you didn't take long to make it into half

I long for love
But every time i go for it,
It hurts me all over again

My tears are ice cold
and frozen on my face

Ive tried again but
Then i fell to fast
And it turned into a repeating step

As my heart burns
My tears get colder

Theres no turning back now
Or being able to go forward

When a new day comes
I pray my tears be gone
But when i feel my face
Its burning but with ice cold tears

I don't know how to fix what you did
I don't know how to reconstruct the falling pieces of my heart

All i know is i burn inside
While cold on the out

Its like you put my heart in a prison for life
Because it cant move from the past

I hate how your heart is free
And its the one who did the crime
My heart was a victim to you
And you took total advantage of it

They always say when something burns down,
Make it bigger and stronger
But i cant because theres too much ice that wont melt away
Even with the heat inside

Ive tried everything
But nothing has worked so far
And when i get close to letting it free
It becomes very chilly because of another you comes along

Hopefully one day
Everything will reverse
And then you will feel the
Ice Cold Burning Heat sensation
