One Chance Only

Live life to the full, you dont know whatâ??s waiting around the corner.

She trusted no one at all,
Not since what happened
She had so many doubts
Of everyone, of herself.

Until she found the one person
Who she felt she was able to trust.
She spent seventeen years doubting,
But now she was happier, confident.

She told this person everything,
Her past, what had happened,
Her fears and plans.
Now her life was different.

She became more outgoing,
Now she had it all off her chest.
She left the past behind her.
She moved on with the rest.

Then she got the phone call.
The person she had trusted,
The only one she opened up to.
Was gone, vanished, dead.

Hit by a car they told her,
She didnt know what to do.
She fell to pieces,
Reverted back to her old ways.

Then she realised the truth,
Her friend wouldnt want to see her like this,
Broken again because of them.
So that day she made a vow:

From now on I shall live life to the full, do what I want and be myself. After all you only get one life and it was made for living.
