What do you say to the man
Who you've known your entire life?
Who laughed along with you,
And shared all of your strife?

Who helped you along your way?
Who could always make you smile,
Even on the worst of days?

What do you say to the man
Who helped make you who you are?
Taught you to never give up,
Keep reaching for the stars?

What do you say to the man
Who has given you so much love?
When the day comes, and he's no longer with you
You know he'll still be watching from above?

What do you say to the man
Who is your one and only father?
Who you had special moments with,
That are only shared between a daddy and his daughter?

What do you say to the man
Who taught you right from wrong?
In the times when it wasn't said or heard,
he loved you all along?

What do you say to the man
When words can't express what you want to say?
An I love you will have to suffice,
And a Happy Father's day!
