Summer Street Sleep Walk

Summer Street Sleep Walk

Night has finally fallen down
And the crickets have already began
Singing their sound track
And God has sewn silver buttons unto
The navy velveteen carpet of the sky
And has sprayed a fragrance
Of freshly cut grass and melted ice cream
Of dandelions and early morning dew
Of sweet sweat, wrapped it in a cool wind
And named it summer
A scent that cant be captured bottled or sold
A feeling that cant be described or ever told
When my bare feet hit the cool street
Thats always busy, but now, asleep
An enhancement posses my body
The moment my feet meet the double mustard lines
Street lamps consecutively light my way
As I walk down the earths hallway
That leads to your world
But I fight the distressful temptations
And relinquish this journey
And I turns against the current of the wind
To lie down and let the moon hypnotize me
And I have power of immortality
And I am infinite
