Phantom of my Heart

by RavishingEruption   Jun 21, 2007

Silence lurks in every corner
Revealing to me a weeping mourner.
I turn to find the piteous sound
When suddenly my knees meet the ground.

As I am bent over the ground
I see a figure in a shroud.
His presence still lingers here
My stride is quickened by my fear.

As I close the gap between us
I think 'What's the fuss?'
Then a thought starts nagging
But his foot stops dragging.

He whirled around to smile
Then he looked at me awhile.
He started to me slowly
While I screamed silently.

He grabbed me and we kissed
Despite my will, I could not resist.
He stole my heart and left me there
So next time you hear a cry, beware.

He's like the night's sweet kiss
But his kiss bestows no bliss.
You might think that this is art
But he's the Phantom of my heart.....
