You came over today
You where hurting you said
You said you needed to talk to someone
You started to cry
You started to shake

I looked at you
I took your hand and held it tight
I told you to tell me what was on your mind
Pulled you close and held you near

You looked at me and said is a soft whisper
"It hurts like no other
I don't know how i can go on
I love you dear heart but i wanted it to keep it locked away"

i looked at you as though it was all a dream
I smacked myself just to see
it hurt this much I'm sure
I held you tight and asked once more "why are you crying you could have just told me"

You looked at me as though you just seen your worst fear
"I had a dream
That kind of dream that you wish you never had..
you where dead and he had killed you
I lost you forever
and i can't have that"

I look at you as though i was going to cry
I looked in your eyes and said " i love you to but I've been hurt to many times before
you've seen my tears and you've seen my heart break
i want to be with you but please don't hurt me"

you smiled that sweet smile
your blue eyes sparkled
your dirty blond hair feel in front of your eye
you took my hand and pulled me close

i looked at you as though I might scream
you kissed me right there as though you've wanted there for along time

that kiss lasted only moments but felt like hours
my heart jump
my soul sang
my mind smiled

loving you isn't hard now
that dream i had isn't a dream now
