I'll Wait

by Phoebe   Jul 28, 2007

The clock ticks away my lonely days,
Every second, seeming like an eternity,
In my head theres a whirlpool of thoughts,
When all I want is clarity.

My eyes grow tired of weeping,
And I imagine the touch of your skin,
A trace of a smile escapes my hungry lips,
As I feel that warm feeling within.

I can imagine every word you'd say,
And every movement you'd make,
And I play along in my mind all day,
Never realising that it's all fake.

I miss you,
I miss the way we'd stay up all night,
We'd talk about anything that crossed our minds,
You'd sing to me til the morning light.

But I wont dwell on these lonely thoughts,
I'll sit and wait until it's our time,
When we can shine, together,
When I'll be yours, and you'll be mine.
