To live forever
and never love,
To feel the wind
and never breathe

To be deceived
and never forgive,
To feel the light
and never see

To yearn for more
and never bestow,
To drown in envy
and never suffice

To be ridiculed
and never speak,
To stitch the wound
and never heal

To rant and rave
and never hear,
To fall asleep
and never dream

To be misguided
and not disagree,
To lose the war
and never bleed

To go on today
and never change,
To praise the defeat
of tomorrow's gain
