Nightmares

by Flying Phoenix   Aug 7, 2007

Till the darkness comes and goes
In the midst of summers flow
Tumbling along like a forgotten leaf
Around the edge of a shadows grief
Lone in the world where the mountains lie
Under broad trees hiding the sky
There upon the fountain of death
Where demons come to secrete their breath
Amongst the fires and burnings of hell
Where evil is kept; their jail spell
This is where my dreams do walk
Following silence and whispers talk
Torn in two by my precious nightmares
Confined in my head; caught unawares
These are the torments that catch me by night
These are the horrors that unaided I fight
Crying out loud to silence in my room
I lie asleep and await my doom

    Wow...just wow. I'm..almost speachless...
Lets see, I really like this poem, a lovely dark write. It flowed wonderfully, and the depth in it was amazing. The imagery as well was superb. Good job. Thank's for sharing.

    Happy writing.
