We Put Ourselves Here (I put myself here)

by Raychil   Sep 16, 2007

Winds don't blow
Stars don't shine
The sun won't rise
My words won't rhyme

And though we try
To make it through
There is no way,
We can't undo

The things we've done
To put us here
To cause us pain
To live in fear

Without a word
We drift away
Without a hope
We stop to pray,

For better lives
For better dreams
But it's all hopeless,
Just lost screams

In our loss of judgment
And all our tears shed
The sin is committed
Innocence bled

Arms of Lucifer
Held open wide
Pulling me in
I've already died

Eyes turned dark
Pain is not felt
But I didn't want
This hand I was dealt

No one could see
Past a dead smile
It isn't there fault,
I've been gone for a while

My winds don't blow
My stars don't shine
My sun won't rise
And the fault is mine.

OMG, i find few poems that rhyme mean anything but this one does, it was so good it touched me. i want to take back things i have done but would i be the person that i am today. or do i want to be the person i am today. so thought provoking
