The Shift

by Little Lupa   Sep 26, 2007

"Like the shadows themselves, I glide in the darkness,
My pelt as dark as pitch itself, my golden eyes watch
You’re every movement, my claws which I wield as daggers
Shred the ground beneath my paws, I wait...your near
Me now. My ivory fangs close on empty air as I imagine
Them closing on her throat, I need to calm myself,
A savage shriek escapes my throat and turns to a howl.
My eyes reflect the full moons light as I strive to
Escape you; your blood will not be spilled by me tonight,
I vow to protect you, my human friend...my lover."
