Mustang

by Varus   Oct 20, 2007

Im driving down a dusty dirt road
Its deserted, no-one around for miles
This is the best feeling in the world
My face is filled with smiles

No sounds audible
Except for the whirr of the motor
I think of the police
They say I should listen to their promoter

I say, no way, no slowing down
The only time I am in control of my life
Is at the wheel, with my foot on the speed
No condescending dad, no nagging wife

Then speak of the devils
The fuzz are on my tail
Speeding towards me
Their sirens let out a deafening wail

As I pull over, I recognize the officer
He says I was speeding
Also that I am a damn disgrace
And one day I will end up bleeding

And so they break my paradise
Interrupting my tranquil heaven
Driving along in my Mustang
Been doing it since eleven
