I Fell In Love With The Hairdresser

by Pia   Nov 6, 2007

This is a story that most of you
might laugh at when I'm done,
And if you knew
what I've been through,
Don't go telling everyone.

I decided to spoil myself one day,
Just wanted to go somewhere;
Didn't want to stay
At home all day,
So I went out to do my hair.

After a special treatment and
was time for a wash and dry,
It was then when
a handsome man
Looked at the mirror into my eyes.

He then rolled up his sleeves and ran
his fingers through my hair,
His face I scanned,
As his smooth hands
were combing with such care.

I melted with every gentle stroke,
As he softly shampooed my head;
Fire he stoked,
As he evoked
emotions better left unsaid.

I sat there with a funny feeling,
A feeling I can't define;
As I was leaving,
My head was spinning
with the hairdresser in my mind.

I tried to sleep just for awhile,
But a voice was saying aloud;
"Yes, you did smile,
but was it worthwhile?"
I phoned the salon and asked him out.

It was something like a miracle,
When he actually agreed;
It's just physical,
But is it possible
that to something else it could lead?

And so I went out the next day,
Met him at the salon;
Walked to a cafe,
There was no delay;
We really got it going on.

Until the time he got me when
he finally had me subdued,
When came in a man,
That he called 'boyfriend';
Then I noticed his Prada shoes.

He winked at him as he walked over,
and finally poured the rain:
"We live together,"
are the words I never
want to hear from a man again.

I felt like breaking down the walls,
But held back by self-restraint;
And after it all,
I swore not to fall
for another hairdresser again.
