My Hypothesis of Death (xsilencex)

Pain. Bright, yellow
Pain. Deep, reaching into my spine...
Broken, destroyed...
...Darkness, emptiness....
Silence. (What's going on?)
Stuck in the middle of life and death
No where to go
Empty screams never escaping
These tightly closed lips.
...Help...please...
Wondering, lost, alone,
Silent, through the darkness of long ago
Forgotten dreams and lost memories.
When will this end?
(Or shall I say, when will this begin?)
This death of mine?
Cold, Numb,
Dark...until...A pinpoint of light
Besiege me. Bright, white,
Silently singing into my brain.
Has life ended for this broken spirit?
Or has death begun
Unto the unknown remedy for the struggle?
Warmth...the warmth
Envelopes me, like a babe in his mother's
Arms...capture me...take me!
...Sing me the lullaby...you know
The one about the sunshine?
Tell me the story...The one about
The dreaming princess.
Suddenly I've forgotten when
Life has ended,
And death begun.
But...if this is death....
...Comforting silence, trapped within my head....
Then this is just fine.

~This poem was inspired by the book, queen of the damned. its a really good book, so far its about the dreams of the red-headed twins, and the concert of the vampire Lestat. But anyways, this passage, was particularly inspired by the part when Jesse met the vampire Lestat for the first time.
