Keeping the White doves caged.

by Seth   Jan 20, 2008

No matter how many bottles are open,
no matter how many sips are taken,
it cant take away the fact that your not here.

No matter how many friends make me smile,
or how many hugs are given,
its no substitute for your touch.

Why does it seem like no matter how much
i want you here with me, the skies above do everthing
they can to not make it be?

They keep the white doves caged. The sunshine bottled up.
The clouds crowed with sorrow.
They keep the blue birds grounded. The grass cold and grey.
and what seems like no hope for tomorrow.

The fairy tale doesnt end so nice,
the ends not so tied.
Instead of living happy ever after,
its feels like someone has died, inside.

I just need you here.
