The silver lining

by Max Krakers   Feb 4, 2008

It took four years,
Before I could see.
That girls like you,
Are not right for me.

I gave you my hearth,
I wrote poems for you.
Yet you threw them away,
You made me feel blue.

On burned ground,
The best plants will bloom.
And losing you,
Freed me from my tomb.

It opened my eyes,
Once again I could see
The mistake I made,
Became clear to me.

I found the silver lining,
What was lost I found.
No need searching for love,
For it is all around.

One thing left to say,
Which I can not deny.
Your not the girl I loved,
To her I said goodbye.
