Wingless sky

by moon face   Nov 25, 2014

My dreams of you
feather floated,
somewhere in Heaven's lap.

I stitched those feathers
to the back of an angel
hoping they'd reach God.

But you plucked them all out
just for fun.
"I love him. I love him not."

I remember.
A sky wept,
everytime an angel
fell from grace.
It was a waterfall out there.

And each time,
I pictured us together
you'd show the world
this is how
you rip out the wings
of a butterfly.
