Mom And Dad In Heaven

by Peter DeJesse   Oct 23, 2005

Dad died too soon
Mom hung on for a long while
Dad wanted to escape
As for Mom, it wasn't her style

Dad was Italian
Mom was Irish to the core
They fought everyday
Dad always came back for more

Dad has really been in heaven
Without Mom's nagging
Since she has passed
It seems the clouds are sagging

We have had lots of hurricanes
Ever since Mom has passed
The storms are my parents fighting
Catching up on those 40 years of past
