Rest In Peace, Dad!

When he took that last breathe,
My world came crashing in.
I seen it happen to many other people
But never thought the day would happen to me.
He will never be forgotten
For he will always be in my heart.
He was so special
I dont know where to start.
He used to always sing to me
This lil precious song.
Now I will go on living my life
Singing it to my children,
For this is where I belong.
He used to sing
The song I will always remember
"You are my sun shine
My only sun shine
You make me happy
When skies are grey
You never know just
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sun shine away."

My dad is still here, but I thought I was going to loose him a couple times, so this is why I wrote this poem about him.

Thank you so much for writing thisi poem. My dad died 6 years ago and he used to sing me that song every day...and your poem made me cry because i miss him so much, but it also made me happy to hear that song again...so thank you and I hope you hold on to your dad forever and never take him for granted.

When i was a kid my dad sang that to me too.. only it's not him i lost... my mom died too its ok.. everyone goes through hell and back.. im still in it right now... this is a cute poem i like it alot 5/5
