I Light A Light

I light a torch within this black
To show there is a way
    Not everything wandering or lost
There will always come the day.

I flick a switch of Man made form
    To make a current flow
To show there is a warmth here
To remind you we can glow

The beacons are all now lit
And they stretch over many lands
You have to walk towards it though
    Then grab that outstretched hand

    Peace out

    Craig

Well said Craig. Take the olive branch - we're not monsters here I don't think any of us are; wacky (and I speak for myself so I hope no one takes offence) but not monsters.

    Peace out indeed!!

You're a good person, Craig. This thread and the last thread you made, combined, remind me of what wonderful people we have on this site. I'm blown away by the compassion and generosity shown.

    I'll leave it there.

Craig, lovely poem and sentiment. I agree, we are a bit wacky but it's all good. So let's light this b**** up!

Light a light my dear light a light.

Life is lonely in the darkness.

Right now I want the darkness of closed eyes and sleep.

Bren your amazing but swear properly for once lol.

    Goodnight all

Craig, I shouldn't be swearing at all but alas I do, sigh....Some times I sound like a sailor (it's awful). I try not to on the site, they would be censoring me left and right. Now with grandbabies I really am careful what I say, creative wording to say the least, lol.

    Thank you x

To be honest I actually don't swear that much. If I'm working though that can change instantly. When you drive a truck there is a lot that can cause you to swear. ;-)
