Colorless Eyes

by HollywoodSmile   Feb 9, 2008

He seems quite happy,
in fact, he seems quite well
However i dont believe the lies,
his smile lives to sell

Ive seen his eyes,
worn and tired, as if old
his eyes house a story
that silently waits to be told

He wears his hair long
to hide the tears as he cries
his ever pleasentries;
his only disguise

I am too a veteran
I know of very few
i hope someday, maybe,
he'll tell me what he wont dare tell you

    This is really good. I know somebody just like this, and it hurts me everyday to see them like the way they are, when they hide themselves. I really like the topic of this poem as well as the descriptionate words you used!
