Pay Attention

by HollywoodSmile   Nov 14, 2010

See how they all look at me?
See the words, in their eyes?
The harder I hit you,
the more you bleed,
the longer they look at me.

The rush I feel inside me,
please, try to forgive,
I want no more than to hurt you,
please try to understand.

Hear how they all talk about me?
Hear the words, in the air?
The deeper I cut you,
the more you bleed,
the longer they talk about me.

The rush I feel inside me,
I'll ask you to forgive,
I want no more than to hurt you,
I'll ask you to understand.

This is quite interesting. The story here is kind of mysterious, and keeps the reader asking questions. None of the questions are answered so the reader is left with intruigue. The length feels perfect, the word choice seems immaculate and oh my, the desire that fills this piece is so strong. This is a marvelous job.
