Fire From Within (Dark Without the Deep)

by Isabelle   Feb 9, 2008

First time,
I saw your face,
those chocolate eyes,
made my heart race.

Every single lick of your lips,
it drove me crazy.
Those dreams of you and I,
kissing me,
touching me.

This fire,
I couldn't put it out,
something burned so deep,
something I couldn't keep.

People told me,
not to believe those lies,
you said you loved me,
and I believed your every word.

It was a mistake,
but I realized it way too late.

Lips against mine,
you were so nervous,
as was I.

Tears down my cheeks,
staining my pale skin,
as you once said,
it never meant a thing to you.

This fire,
I couldn't put it out,
something burned so deep,
something I couldn't keep.

Foolish desire,
flying faster away,
I am running far now,
lips to lips,
we danced then,
but now I'm gone now,
I'm running,
running away.
