I miss dragons

by Lenny   Feb 9, 2008

I miss dragons
And burnt marshmallow
Slops from sticks
Sticky lumps of leaves

I miss leaving
Hearts tattered plastic bags
On trees and fences
Of tumbled sheep wool

I wish I had ten dreamers
To weave thoughts
Like flax
And cotton tails

And I wish I had a tail
To tell of shadows mischief
Dragons burning marshmallows
And dreamers weaving.

Interesting, but touching. You are still quite the poet, Lenny.
    I miss dragons, too...

Very beautiful and somehow magical. This piece touched me deeply. I like the imagery that you created, it is truly wonderful. Every stanza is excellently written. The topic that you wrote about is meaningful and great. Whole poem is truly priceless, it has serene flow and amazing descriptions.

    Hi!
This poem is interesting....I don't know about it.
Its very simple, and simple isn't usually you.
But it is a nice poem to read cause it has dragons in it, and dreamers.
Its okay. Not your best work. :)
But you've been absent for a very long time, and its about time you got back on the saddle...
    I missed you.
