Seasons

by luke   Feb 9, 2008

Like a memory freshly shelved for me
Sages all agree that true love can open doors
I'm not sure anymore
Like a sea in time, slightly lost and blind
Maybe so inclined to thrive upon your way
What can I say

Light, like a story long untold
Like a dream of luck and gold
You did know me
Right, like a legend reared in pride
Like a vision deep inside
You did know me

And now the signs have changed the tide
And stilled the tears run dry
With a longing hand to hold
Till the summer turns to cold
Till the seasons surely flowed

And I can't hardly wait for you my love
To catch the tide that finds you
Silent sound, round and round
Seasons come and go and whisper like a well
Seasons come and go and linger like a bell

Hi Luke. Lovely poem. Well done. I loved the vivid imagery and it really made sense to me.

This was very good. I loved the concept and the use of imagery. The flow was smooth and the rhyming didn't seem forced. You did a great job with this poem. I loved the first stanza; it's an attention grabber. Great job! I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
