Martyr

by skynerraw   Feb 10, 2008

Battles raging, the haunt of death
Fight for your freedom, fight for your lives
Children screaming, mothers dying
War is sacred, yet always defying

Steel crashing against steel
Bloody weapons meet fresh skin
The skies weep with forsaken rage
Better dead, than trapped in a cage

The ground is bloodied,
The skies scream
the battle grounds pour
Wash away the love with gore

The war around you intensifies
A final leap of faith
Strength relives, a hero born?
In the midst of death to mourn

Will you not find a martyr?
None to die for your cause
The bloody rage is fading
As your allies aren't aiding

Your hero has fallen
The end is becoming clear
The dead are mourned
From war the price is warned..

Not that great of an ending but *shrugs
