Ebbing away at the lack of love.

by Paris   Feb 12, 2008

You are the one I run too,
when ever I am in need.
Your comfort that I long for,
to touch me with a warming ease.

I look deep into your eye's,
and this is what I see.
A young maiden lying close to you,
but alas it is not me.

A flash of green,
a glint of light.
a stab of jealous cold,
it floods through me with a horrid unease,
like that of a winters night.

I hold you closer still,
not wanting to let go.
Knowing in my minds eye,
that it's her you want to follow.

I've never felt this way before,
jealous, anger and blue.
Feeling so frustrated,
knowing that only she can have you.

I'd do anything for you,
It's all for you.
These tears I cry,
this blood that flows through.
The way that I live,
the things that I give.
It's not for her but you.

I know you don't love me,
yes I know that it's true.
And yet I'm still wondering,
why I keep acting a fool for you.

Lord give me the answer,
send me a sign.
Tell me quick,
for my life has not much time.
