Fear

by mary   Feb 12, 2008

Fear is a demon we all know
It's dark as the deepest sin.
It sleeps with us, goes where we go
And dwells in the hearts of men.

It roams at will throughout the realm
It walks oer sea and land.
It takes your heart and holds it fast
Within its taloned hand.

It's empty eyes are dark and deep,
It's evil heart is cold.
The insidious lengths of its power seep
Into your very soul.

It thrives upon the vast unknown
And flourishes with pain.
Controlled? Perhaps, but vanquished not
It lives to grow again.
