Please Hurry

by Kalie M   Feb 13, 2008

The blinds close, music plays and fades to gone
the wrist watches change and life goes on
frowns disappear, half full are the glasses
the diner is empty, no longer filled by masses
oh, please just hurry, whispers fill the room
and not close enough to smell this perfume
silence is love's new face in this place
still not close enough to feel such embrace
the doors close, heads are falling
as though life is no longer nature's calling
questions are inevitable, the answers are known
yet nothing new here is being grown
bright lights are dimmed, the world has stopped
visible is no longer an option when pure hearts are dropped
oh how surrounding life becomes minimal and plain
it's time to leave, but outside, how it rains
oh, please hurry, whispers fill the room
i'll remain waiting, but please hurry, come soon
