Paint It Black

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 13, 2008

Sun shining,
Hearts Pining,
World unwinding,
Stop,
Paint it black.

Whispering stars,
Indulging scars,
Only time can take it back.

The kingdom's mine,
We will not shine,
Lost along the tattered line,
I stopped,
My paint was black.

The snake will slither,
As I wither,
Death,
No sudden track.

Dancing girls,
Such pretty twirls,
Untying strings and lacing worlds,
Inside,
Their hearts are black.

Greed and lust,
They shall combust,
Blood dripping through the crack.

A singing saint,
As angels faint,
Upon the alter,
No restraint,
Heaven,
Fade to black,

A darker end,
To you my friend,
A soul can't be bought back.

I loved this one. Especially the use of black in so many different ways. I feel like I'm running out of things to say. Your poetry is all awesome. this one gets a 5/5 once again.
