Caught by a Smile

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Feb 16, 2008

Falling teardrops caught by a smile
Drawn to my lips by you
Missing pieces finally found
Completion of a heart long overdue

Faraway wishes at last granted
Proving Heaven exists
Personalized clouds, you and me,
Fireworks when we kiss

Heartbeat quickens, pulse rises
Shivers up and down my spine
A blanket, a sunset, a candle
A bottle of expensive wine

Love birds singing softly
Background music fills the air
Eyes locking, lips quivering
Hands running through my hair

You, me, and forever
Makes everything worthwhile
Just as I started falling
You caught me by a smile
