At the Corner

by Melissa   Feb 17, 2008

One by one
They all drive off.
And then one by one
They all stop at
The Red Light.

Cars passing by
And I don't know
Where they go.

Pedestrians jay walking
Hoping to get to where
They're going, a little quicker.

Somehow I feel that
If I follow them
I won't be worried anymore
For I'll know they got to their
Destination safely.

But no I can't,
I'm waiting at the bus stop
At the Corner.

Here it comes!
As I board I wish
Them well on their journey.
