Wrong Timing

Life was going on very well
Peaceful like hearing the church's bell
It's so unbelievable even to tell
How suddenly this country becomes like hell

We all took it as a joke
Sounds, fires, destruction and smoke
But when the death alarm suddenly broke
We noticed that it's not even safe to walk

Every road, park, and public place
Is empty and silent of any trace
Longing for just one smiling face
And wishing, away from rockets, it could race

Violence has never been a solution nor a way
To let love and peace forever stay
Funny how just one act can affect a day
And let the following days all sad and grey

Where is this unpredictable war leading to?
Will it end tonight or even in a day or two?
People have no clear idea of what to do
Cause they still can't believe it's all true

Festivals, camps, and trips were being planned
All our calendars have been put on a stand
We miss travelling in our beautiful land
And the smooth heat of our beaches' sand

People sitting in their homes afraid
Others waiting for the government's aid
No idea what could be made
And when this disaster would finally fade

Let's just be hopeful and patiently pray
That our kids will soon be able to freely play
And that our heads on the pillows will safely lay
And may God keep all the danger away!
