My Ailing Mother

by Jason   Feb 20, 2008

My mother is coughing up black stuff.
My mother is out of breath while simply walking around the house.
She needs to catch her breath before driving.
She is not getting too much help with her medication.

My mother said these quotes herself.
I'm half-dead."
"I'm not ready to go."
"Please help me through this God."

Seeing her go would be a pain to me.
Sure, I'd be able to live more independently without living with her.
I didn't expect to live independently in case something does happen to her.
I'd rather move out and live with that special friend sometime in the future, whenever that day comes.
Or at worse, gain ownership of this house to myself.

She should be fortunate I'm still living with her.
If she lived alone while being to the hospital,
Her two cats would've left due to not being fed.
Since nobody would've been here to take care of them for her.

I got a mother with bronchitis and pneumonia.
Is she in her last days?
I sincerely hope not.
Unfortunately, I can't ignore that possiblity.

All I can do is help her and her cats,
It's impossible to not let her become a distraction for my goals in life.
She's my mother, the woman who brought me to Earth.
A woman who knows me a lot more than any other woman on this planet!
I accept the fact I can't keep my mind off of her!

As the words from a Chipmunk song goes:
"My mother.
That's who I need."
