Your Mistake

by Erica Chambers   Feb 20, 2008

The negative words flowing from your mouth
wean me from your ludicrous
our repugnance climbs up like ivy
detaching me from what's real
an uprise of hatred
pulls me down joining Lucifer
your self-centered crocodile tears
plows a bullet through my heart
breaking my grip on reality
an aggressive contempt lies over my head
a genuine sorry wouldn't fix this
you've ruined everything we put in
you broke my heart so i broke yours
and things will never be the same
