Light, In Darkness

by OsuBearcat   Feb 26, 2008

A place where there is no light
Where no one can hear your cries
Go ahead, scream with all your might
You'll soon get tired of all the tries

Now you see your life before you
Every single conversation and fight
Can you find where you went askew
Do you see what all you did right

All of your friends surround you
Yelling, telling you what to choose
Asking yourself were you true
Or did you use all their views

Your parents now come into view
Would you have made them proud
Giving your parents a joy anew
Or your life be covered, shrouded

Suddenly all light disappears
Darkness completely surrounds
Your eyes start to water, tears
And you lie down confound

When you have given up and
Thought all happiness was gone
You feel on your shoulder, a hand
The emptiness inside is withdrawn

Upon you a beam of light falls
And a voice begins to speak
"My beautiful child" it calls
"I'm always here when you're weak

I'm here when you're feeling blue
When you're floating above the clouds
When you're just passing through
And when you stop with the crowds

You are always perfect to me
Don't let the darkness control
There are many that will agree
That you are a perfect soul"
