Whole Pie

by Hidden1   Feb 26, 2008

Why have a piece of the pie when I want the whole thing to myself.
Knowing I'm selling my self short, so I settle for less.
I know I deserve better but where is it, it doesn't exist.
I don't want the crust, or the filling in between.
I want the whole pie to fully satisfy me.
The crust is dry, what good can it do?
Nothing but leave me empty, hungry, and destitute.
The filling is just a temporary fix.
He's my sweet tooth, my sugar rush.
Takes care of my maintenance when I need a tune-up.
What I need is the whole pie.
Someone who is there consistently,
Not someone who there part-time, but wants to be with only me.
I can't keep taking slices, then I will never be whole.
I don't want to hungry seeking and searching for more.
Feed me the whole pie or let me be.
This includes all the pieces, a whole and complete man who can love me and only me
