Ship

by Amber Smith   Feb 27, 2008

THE SHIP WENT DOWN IN THE STORM,
MOUNTAINS OF THE VIOLENT SEA,
AGAINST THE WIND,
STILL AS THE SPIRAL GREW,
IT'S DIM DREAMING LIFE WAS WONT TO DWELL,

SHAPED HIS GROW SHELL,
THEIR HOPE LIKE SEA SPRAY,
WHICH CHURNS AGAINST THE CLIFF,

YEAR AFTER YEAR BEHELD THE SILENT TOIL,
THAT SPREAD HIS LUSTROUS COIL,
WRECKED IS THE SHIP,
