Just Glimpses

by Keili   Feb 27, 2008

A single glimpse can
Change you life
Make you cry
Or find you a wife.

I live my life
Through small windows
Where I'm looking in
And there, Ive seen heroes.

I walk the paths
That twist and turn
From men with breasts
To hearts that burn.

A small girl cries
An old man winks
Thousands of passers-by
And I know you all.

Ive healed your sick
And tutored your children
I killed your brother
And gave birth to your mother.

I was once a brook
Calmly stirring
Then I was Adolf Hitler
Writing Mien Kampf, the book.

I give you advice
But you never listen
I can read your minds
And give you my Energy

In a glimpse
Could you guess
All that Ive shared
Or see the jumbled mess?

Chaotic order
Quiet pandemonium
You are my lover
And my hated enemy.

I am the life source
From whence you came
And the AK-47
You used in the force

I am the hag
And the maiden.
You are the stag
And the eagle

You've known me
All your life
But I forgot you
Until we were on D

In a Glimpse
Do you see
My face staring at you
My eyes saying we could be.

All I get are glimpses
So explain to me
All I have missed
And Ill show you the way
