Devil's pact

by Matt L   Feb 28, 2008

Swallowing burning liquor influences the heart
Devil's pact, a soul for an existence
Struggles for salvation in a fruitless revolution
Hatred grows within those infected with love

Power abandons the thick skinned
Empty husks litter every sidewalk in life
More lost souls, freezing cold, a lost to any god
Searching for something only an angel could find

Jealous eyes follow drunken movements
A little something left in that one the single shared thought
It flickers and burns out of crazed minds
Starving bodies shuffle forward

Fires of hate burn in their eyes
Life steals so much, giving little to some, giving none to hopeless
Raped and beaten but never defeated, tortured into existence
Who will survive our own onslaught?
