Struggle

Back and forth the struggle consumes you whole
Finding solace in the conflict of the soul
We fight to keep a level head
But in the end we all end up dead
And the pain has stained your heart black as coal

We through suffer pain and strife, and try as we might
it is their, inbred in our nature, we should give up the fight
But we grab the bull by the horns, hope not to get stabbed
But its eyes run red, and rage grows from being grabbed
and it runs us through in the dark of night

Or we resist, we hide, plan to run so we turn
We leave troubles behind and cry, and yearn
that one day we may be free of the dark
but i persists, that one little spark
and we become engulfed in flames and begin to burn

This flaw inbred into our nature resides in us all
This pain, caused but society will eventually be the cause
of the doomsday, the day we all fall,
into the darkness of savagery where laws are not laws
And in this dark we will realize that this, societies fatal flaw

Or should it be flaws?
Envy, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth, Gluttony, Wrath
there are more o yes, this so called "civilized society"
is just walking down the the beaten path
walked by those who think themselves gods
for nature can have no lord,
like those who have ruled before we will end in
a bloodbath

Struggle, hope, rule, fail die,
it is the cycle of life,
so on this path we are doomed to walk
until the day blood drowns out the strife.
