Sprinkles in Melted Ice Cream

by Sorefromreality   Mar 2, 2008

Realize.

Everything is seen in vivid color and razor sharpness, so beautiful.
Yet enough to make you wish you were blind.
All the beauty in the world, is like a light shining too bright.

So much to handle.

Swallow hard, pretend you're tired.
Go to bed, tell yourself you're okay.
Try to sleep, come hither tomorrow...
Silently weep, into the dawning day.

Confusion.

It makes no sense, does it?
For the beauty to cause so much pain?
Well give it time, I'm sure you'll see,
Just how painful, life can be.

Cruelty.

How could he do that?
It cut deep, didn't it?
It stings, doesn't it?
...And now you cry because of it.
