Without You

by Kailyn   Mar 3, 2008

For a long time I thought you had abandoned me
But looking back there's something I didn't see
There's a big difference between being abandoned and being denied
Just like being told the truth and being told a lie
You can't accept the fact that I'm a part of you
And everything I've ever told you about yourself was, is, and always will be true
Your angry with everybody else because you can't grow up and be a man
But it's your fault because ever time a problem approached you; you always ran
When I look at you memories from the past haunt me
But when you look at me the hurt you pretend you don't see
How can you look past the hurt in your own childs' eyes
And act asif you never caused the painful, unheard cries
Love those more than your own flesh and blood
Never there when needed, but unwanted there you stood
Your denial caused many of my silent cries
My hear was scarred from all your damn lies
But your colors now show so bright and true
And now it's clear to see that I'm better off without you.

Dedicated to my Dad- His denial of being my father.
